Zeta Tucanae is a yellow star, F8 or G0, similar to our sun but slightly brighter and perhaps younger. It may have an unseen companion, as yet unconfirmed. It is 28.0 light years from Sol, 25.5 ly from Alpha Centauri, and 17.2 ly from Epsilon Indi. The star's habitable zone is centered at a radius of 1.14 AU, giving a body there an orbital period (or year) of about 15 Earth months.
Fictional
Marten and Hannibal Carson are reported, in The Chara Talisman, to have conducted an archeological dig on Zeta Tucanae III (also known as Ransom's Planet) prior to the events of that novel. It would thus be a planet orbiting Zeta Tucanae in it's habitable zone, implying two other planets closer (with possibly more, not mentioned, further out). It is not stated whether the indigenous species is still around, but if so they are presumably still at stone-age technology levels, given the lack of information to the contrary. It explicitly stated to have pyramids, about 15,000 years old. It is not stated if these are Spacefarer structures (like the Chara pyramid) or locally built (like our Egyptian pyramids), but they date to before the locals were known to have the technology. (Neolithic starting about 5000 years ago).
Phrasing in The Chara Talisman implies the locals are still around. They haven't been described yet.
