Sol
Sol
Sol is the name for our own sun. It is a G2 type star (which says something about its size and temperature), of category V (which is a roman numeral, and means it is on the main sequence, following the normal path as stars age).
Sol has 8 known planets and at least a handful of dwarf planets (including Ceres, Pluto, Makemake, and several others, with no doubt more to be discovered in the outer reaches).
In the T-Space universe, Earth's Moon has several bases on it (and it serves as a quarantine area for ships returning from out-system), there are bases on Mars (the nature of which has yet to be specified) as well as miscellaneous (and possibly unmanned) outposts throughout the system. There is regular shuttle service to the Moon and regularly scheduled passenger (including colonist) runs to the nearer stars with terraformed planets.
