Luyten's Star (BD +5 1668)
A red dwarf 12.4 light years from Sol, in the direction of Procyon. Also known by the designation BD +5 1668. As of this writing (May, 2017), it still has no known planets. Attempts to confirm once-suspected Jupiter- and/or superJupiter-mass companions proved negative.
Jason's Jeopardy
In the story "Into the Fire", Jason Curtis finds himself in this star system (where it is referred to by the BD designation). It has no known planets, but it does have asteroids (this is speculative). After his misadventure, it acquires the unofficial nickname of Jason's Jeopardy.
